Plan around the public areas
Separate work by site and space so a broad instruction such as ‘clean the mall’ becomes a clear assignment. Use the calendar to see scheduled work and make deliberate changes when priorities move.
- Give tasks specific locations, instructions and assignees.
- Use Pro floor plans to distinguish levels, shared areas and service spaces.
Use presence with the right context
The map shows the latest location reported by the app. Managers should check its timestamp before acting: updates depend on permissions, connectivity and the app being in use. It is not continuous background tracking or automatic dispatch.
- Keep shift check-in separate from task start and completion.
- Use Chat to confirm an instruction or ask about access before redirecting a colleague.
Make the handover visible
A task photo gives a reviewer something concrete to inspect. Supply records add context when work cannot proceed as expected. Together they support a more useful handover between the daytime team and the next shift.
- Review evidence and record feedback on completed work.
- Track site stock with Inventory, available as a Starter add-on and included in Pro.
Practical answers
Does Cleaner automatically send the nearest employee?
No. Managers decide who to assign. Presence and calendar information support that decision; automatic proximity-based dispatch is not available.
Can teams work in areas with weak reception?
Previously loaded task information can remain available, but offline support is limited. Required-photo completion and new chat delivery need a connection.
